I created a character called Hardcoreone, the idea was it would be a hardcore char and when he died he was done and I would create Hardcoretwo. etc
In the newbie land Gorboth arrived and said - terribly sorry but you are NOT calling yourself that. He thought he was a porn reference.

Oooh! Good one! Both name and idea. And the imm reaction
Did you explain your name to Gorboth or just accept to have it changed?
He actually asked me to change my name too. But changed his mind and let me keep it, figuring it did make sense on a "foul-smelling goblin".

I sometimes wonder how lame my name looks to a French person.
My 19-year-old self thought the "ou" in "Fourt" made it look more awesomely medieval and Euro (which was important, what with wanting to be a knight an all), and didn't even realize I was misspelling "coeur"
*facepalm*
Anyone remember the hobbit knight named Ferret? I know that guy in real life, and he actually goes by the name Ferret.

Luckily for you, I cant remember any player from France. Unless Bromen counts. I did study french once though, and I do remember that:
Fortecoeur = "Strongheart" in french.
But I never made that connection to your name, I did always feel it sounded knightly though, so you succeeded!

Chanele: Hehe, no thats right. We took classes in french we most of the time didnt show up to and somehow managed to learn a few phrases? Better?

I did manage to pass the course though, most likely out of pity from the teacher than anything else...

My head always translates that into Eagledeed which sounds more Rpish IMO.
So when chatting to him I usually used say to dwarf.
