There are three types of people: those who can count, and those who can't.

Eldoral Isle has been added to the magic map of Calia as has part of the trail to get there! The Firedrome has also been added to the magic map of Calia (except for the combat floor of the arena itself)!
Re: Magic Map Additions
How about a map over oceans and water while traveling by ship?
To see the islands one sail by and when closing in to the port would be fun if that is possible.

I am not an expert on how our ships work, but unfortunately I don't think that is possible.
Re: Magic Map Additions
Any thoughts on that statement Arman?Perrigrine wrote:I am not an expert on how our ships work, but unfortunately I don't think that is possible.

Re: Magic Map Additions
Mercade added a fix to the magic maps last year that allowed for it to pick up whether your room is nested in another room... like boats. That's how the ships on the Bloodsea now are able to use magic maps.Cherek wrote:Any thoughts on that statement Arman?Perrigrine wrote:I am not an expert on how our ships work, but unfortunately I don't think that is possible.

So yeah, I reckon Perrigrine could make magic maps of the seas of Genesis... assuming the ship passes through rooms like they used to. That code may have changed (you can no longer look at surroundings? yeah?)... although having a quick look at the ones running from Flotsam they still pass through rooms?
Re: Magic Map Additions
Ships still moves through rooms, atleast some of them in Sparkle!
You still can "exa view" If this is how you define surrounding!

Orien are cute (Cool too) kender, if ya disagree with Orien, Orien agree with ya, Orien loves all ^bounce^
Re: Magic Map Additions
It was much more complicated than I thought it would be and needed intervention from Mercade (thanks!), however transport boats can be magic mapped.
Solace to Newports is magic mapped.

Re: Magic Map Additions
Very very cool this has been expanded into a great universal tool and it is a real work of art .
One quick question about the map gmcp data, how can you tell the new line length? Is every map line 80 characters long?
Cus when I did some testing in cmud I encountered maps of apparant different widths and that messed up how it displayed in the fixed width window I used.
