Quest Hint

Need help with quests? Maybe just some advice on which guilds to choose? This is the forum for you. Note that you must be a validated player to view this forum. (Note: Quest help should come in the form of helpful suggestions/hints, but not direct solutions/walkthrough info.)

Dondel is random from Bree all the way to Shire.. However he does vanish after a time so each time you wake up you need to ask for the quest again. That normally enters him into the game.

The Ferret I read you were having trouble with the bartender? That means someone has already done the quest this armageddon. He only gives the tag out once.

And if Gunthar is not in Vingaard then typically you will have to wait for armageddon for him to come back out. The most likely scenario is he was kidnapped by Auraks in Kitiara's private guard and taken to her out on the plains before a knight realized it was happening and could rescue him.

No quests should be once/armageddon. I'll look into that.

I generally think I am pretty good at quests, but I think you're a few steps ahead still, are there any other quests you know are once/arma?

I know Lilith was fixing the Ribos quests but I don't think the Criminal Accuse quest ever got properly fixed. Pretty sure it is still once per boot.

Drakmere Lord Scriptures I remember having problems with years ago as well. Every part of the quest resets except for the water wight you have to kill. The NPC itself doesn't exist and its a crucial part of it.

Off the top of my head those are the only ones I can remember issues with. If any others come to mind I'll let you know.

The altar in Avenir might need to be checked by Lilith again. There were some changes made to that altar in the last year that allow for some other in game boosts but there is a max amount of times it can be used for such. Its possible that when its at max sacrifices that it also prevents the quest from being finished.

That one technically isn't once per arma but a lot of times its not available because people start the quest. Then once people obtain the Medallion of the Istarian Merchant they stop there. Since it raises trading they get more money for their equipment sales. And the quest then doesn't reset because the medallion isn't returned.

Caravan quest is also buggy in Terel or at least it used to be. If someone kills any of the guards in the caravan it stops and in order for it to get reset all the guards on it have to be killed again. Since it was changed specifically to reflect the quest any time you ask Rommenus or the Clerk the Caravan should reset at the Calathin Gates unless someone is engaged in combat with it.

So some thing to look into when I, or someone else, has some free time. Lilith is aware of potential issues with the altar sacrifice at least.

Another thing I remember when questing with Z was that when Tapakah got around to updating all the boats to Genesis Shiplines he moved Eil-Galaith's dock from Samorgan to Cadu and made it available to everyone. It used to be that you had to solve a quest to gain access to the boat. Now the boat is available to everyone but the quest still remains. However... there is an item on the boat needed for a quest, and the questmaster remains in Samorgan, but the boat rests in Cadu. Should be a simple fix to move the elf to near the new boat... then at least you aren't looking around a specific area for something when in reality it lies far away.
