PvP vs. Death vs. Roleplay.

"The Lord Commander of the Dagarim Aran kneeled over his fallen adversary.
The Great Uruk Captain that commanded the Orcs and Trolls that had overrun
Moria now lay silent before him.
The Commander picked up the Giant Maul, heavy in his hands, but clearly a
formidable weapon.
He weighed its balance in his hands and smiled. This was a true prize.

Making his way through the Trollshaws, the Commander of the Dagarim Aran
suddenly called his steed to a halt.
He senses something, his old Ranger training warning him, something was amiss.
Without warning two savage orcs jumped down from the trees armed to their
teeth,
and behind him a foul-looking goblin warrior stepped out earlier concealed by a
large rock.

-'Dat dere Maul bilongz to us Uman.'

That was all any of the three of the warriors of the Dark Lord uttered before
they leaped upon him.
He was out-numbered, and out-matched...

The Lord Commander of the Dagarim Aran woke, with a splitting head-ache.
He slowly surveyed his surroundings, and soon came to his senses.
The ambush had cost him all his equipment, his gold, and herb-pouch.
But it seemed the assailants had not been intent to kill him, and had instead
left him beaten half to death, with only his pride chipped.


PvP, Death, and Roleplay can be balanced. It can be balanced in such a way,
vitals
that neither of any player-type feel they loose their "kick" in the game.

This is my firm belief. I think it requires the understanding that we share the
same boat.
Regardless of our player-style.
