Am I the only person who is turned off by these ego-stroking reviews that they put on books nowadays? Ugh, I see something like that and instantly put the book back down. The Guardian wrote:probably the most important novelist of the past two decades
What are you reading right now?

I simply ignore that. They put it on every single book, no matter how bad it is.
Time is precious. Waste it wisely.
Re: What are you reading right now?
Reading 'The truce' by Primo Levi, the first book, 'If this is a man' made a deep impact on me. One of the absolute best of the authors writing about the camps.
Re: What are you reading right now?
I constantly read all the Drizzt books, but lately I can't put down Name of the wind, The Wise Man's Fear, and The Slow Regard for Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss. The man is just a genius writer.
I'm actually thinking of wizzing just to create things in his books.

I just finished the Ian Cormac series from Asher, loved them. Haven't read anything of Patrick Rothfuss, I will give it a try.

The Name of the Wind starts very slow. After 60% of the book, it becomes incredible. He really should be more popular.

Re: What are you reading right now?
The premise is interesting, is it any good?
Re: What are you reading right now?
Yeah, it's pretty damn good, especially if you like the concept of virtual reality and 80's pop culture.
Re: What are you reading right now?
I also recommend Snow Crash. One of the books that inspired The Matrix.
