What does it take to get into the thornlin militia? Because I can't even enter the room to join the guild.

Align? Race? Other than that there shouldn't be restrictions afaik.

to join, kill everything in thornlin.. :D then go ask.

No think you have to be least good or higher to join. I remember in my past as militia, you get warnings and all sort of shit when you get near neutral.. could be changed tho.. but it have a high good align restriction to join.. or had.. ?

I think this needs to be checked out by wizards.

Ranger "outlaws" in Middle Earth are to restricted. And guess what if your evil aligned or undead the ranger/gondor NPC's automatically attack you instantly putting you on the outlaw list. Thornlin should not matter if you are a ranger outlaw its not the same guild

Back when Hektor was a militia it was that outlaws (normal or notorious) could not become militia and there were issues with being lead by them as well.

I believe it was coded as a RP thematic issue in the context that Thornlin Militia is allied with the free people of the west (minas tirith, dwarves, hobbits, rangers etc) and oppose their enemies. Whether that RP premise is long gone or the game mechanics are too dire I can't say.

Maybe it falls back to the argument of whether or not layman guilds should be involved or just a passing spice to your RP along with a special?
