Hello all ...

I wanted to go public with a set of judgements I had to hand down today.
In the past, I might have not done so, but given the current realities of the
Genesis Facebook chat, I'd like you to hear things from me in an official
capacity on this incident rather than simply there from angry parties.

Just today, two prominent players (one being one of our biggest myths)
decided to go on a spree of pkills that left 4 characters dead (one twice!)
in the span of 24 hours. The spree also included attacks on a few players who
managed to escape dying.

Having sifted the facts and heard arguments from the larger of the two
players, I was able to very much determine that this is not the sort of
thing that is welcome in Genesis. Pfights are fine (see <help rules>) but
these were attacks on people who were not looking for trouble at all, and
who were guilty, if anything, of being a bit sloppy and inattentive with
their herbing and combat practices.

The verdict: Both of these players were sentenced to a death at my hands.

The take-away: Pkilling is okay, but use sense. 5 in 24 hours *will* 
(naturally) get the attention of the Admin, especially if imposed on
players who were minding their own business. 

My hope is that both of the players who I've had to punish will want to
keep playing the game. My hope is also that the 4 players they killed
will also want to keep playing the game.

I know I want to keep playing the game. :-)

p.s. I like both of the players I've had to sentence to a death. Not fun,
     but I feel it is fair and for the good of the order.
