Where is it from? I've found it in the backpack and it's seems that's the right place for it - for now at least.

Toss that ring in a volcano! I don't know if its evil or not but you never can be to careful.

The most annoying place I have ever been teleported to was a very dark room, no idea where it was. Minas Morgul and Crystalin Palace are also possibilities so depending on your align you should be careful when playing around with that ring.
