New Turkey Care Options?

Code: Select all

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

    - The event has really gone well so far.
    - The turkeys are feeling better about life, and want more things to do.
    - After this coming Armageddon, there will be more and interesting ways
to increase your turkey's health index.

Donut Dwellers,

You remember those citizens I told you about? How they were all bossy and
demanding and, in general, just very unpleasant sorts of people? Well, who do
you suppose should wake me from much-needed slumber this morning in a way that
none of us might have expected? There I was, tucked in for a few extra zzz's
between Goldberry and Gorthaur (both asleep for years, and yes, we wizards
sleep in bunks in a dormitory in alphabetical order - we're extremely
systematic and practical!) when all this terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE singing
starts shaking the window. Peering out, there were a bunch of carolers with
pitchforks. Carolers with pitchforks??

Anyway, I met them at the door, and the explanation was clear. These were
the farmers AND their turkeys doing their best to join together in some
Christmas songs. A bit early, I know, but it seems that this is the first
time in a very long while that the turkeys of the realm have been in any mood,
following what they keep calling "The Day of Curse", to join in the revels.

After a few (miserable) choruses of "Deck the Stalls", "Up on the
Out-housetop", and "We Wish you a Veggie Christmas" Armaggeddon wandered down
behind me to see what all the noise was. Seeing him, the farmers stopped
singing (as you would too) and told us that the next time he (meaning
Armaggeddon) comes around, they turkeys will probably be in such a good mood,
they'll want to do more fun things in the world with their caregivers.

I asked what those things might be, and the farmers just smiled and said that
turkeys are very interesting and adventuresome creatures, and that I'll just
have to wait to find out. They then left in search of other households to
accost with their merrymaking.

Well, okay then! Looks like sometime next Monday or Tuesday when we get the
next visit from old Army, the turkeys will be up for more fun. My guess is that
even those who feel they are *hopelessly* behind in the turkey rankings will
have ways they can catch up.

Happy caregiving,
G.

Mmmmmm ... pie ...
