Im trying to figure out the serpentine quest.

The old withered male human says: I know not who it was, only that it happened, and afterwards the sounds of a small boat were heard in the lake to the east of Eldoral Isle, and the dagger my lord was slain with never recovered.

Now ive mapped the whole area, searched and examined everything more than once on the northern, eastern and southern locations. No dagger or anything...

my awareness is convident veteran, so that shouldnt be a problem. Am i doing something wrong? Should one be a certain level to complete this one?
