I am a Sohm, a Necro, a Traveller, and Mariner. What these four have in common is that they are loner guilds. As in there is generally a lack of, or need of, reasons to team. Either for RP reasons or others. In Dwarfheim, or the dwarf caves what have you, on the board there is post about the Band of the Merry Folk? Yes. And that they are a "guild" outside of guilds. That they are essentially a guild purely based in role play with really nothing other binding them together then the members wanting to be in it. Not skills, etc.
So my question is is this concept not viable in Genesis? Was this band inconsequential? Was it a whim of some silly hobbit or did it actually exist to some effect? And are these "guilds" capable of some authentication, by a notary or otherwise. What is the procedure for creating one?
I am interested in players being able to create guilds or clubs if that is the better word on their own. It seem wholly natural to me and very fun. Although not in the sense of a proper wiz-spawned guild or club, will there ever be some service or function in the game that would allow players to do this and it be recognized by the system? Kind of like the familial registry in Sybarus.

You can make your own knightly orders in Pelargir. People have been using them to create clubs/mini-guilds for a long time. You might want to investigate that.
