I repeat myself. What a bunch of whining because you suddenly have limits and restrictions.
Go play good-aligned and you'll see how privileged you are.

If you feel there are guilds missing from the list you can always mail Gondor and let them know. I agree some should be added and some removed like Pirates and FK but its just that, my opinion.

And I'll be blunt with you for the first time: what a disrespectful, entitled troll you are. As you well know, I have played good aligned and know the limitations very well. Rub your two neurons together and come up with a better argument or go play with your toys while the adults are speaking.

MT is a major questhub, and therein lies the problem; New players that go the warlockroute (and other guilds) are locked from doing the quests - they need to quit their guilds first if they do "wrong" selection at the start.

This is...terrible gamedesign.

So, if we can solve this by pushing the quests using the same bits elsewere for the same rewards, only then will this be fair. I believe Finwe et al is lookig for a solution for this particular problem.

Don't forget to add the other way too, now we're working on it.

Sure. I did a task to summarize the differences...and they are indeed enormous towards..one side. But, evil only quests should be available to goodaligned players using same bits elsewhere aswell.

No wonder evils have it easier, when this is the usual tantrum thrown whenever something isn't beneficial.
Yup.
Evil chars players are the biggest cry-babies around since like ever.
Old internet pattern of online bad-boy wannabies :)

You were arguing before that goodies have it harder to grind, and people agreed. Well, evils have it harder to quest. We can agree on both accounts without slinging insults. They are not contradictory positions.
exactly!
5% of the game is harder for evils 95% is harder for goodies
good that you've made ur point! xD

This is what is confusing.

Now, the problem is. We have three solutions here:

1. We decide to run the 'block command' based on a guild being 'evil aligned', mechanically. If so, then the guild HAS to be restricted to evil align for it to be blocked. This is not the case. So, flaw.
2. We decide to run the 'block command' based on a guild being 'evil aligned', thematically. If so, then we have incongruences in the list and we need to define what is evil and what isn't.
3. We decide to run the 'block command' based on what the current active ME wizard believes is evil, and every time there is a change from whoever decides this is right or not, we bow our heads and say 'amen'.

For the sake of peace and understanding that this is definitely far from a priority for wizards, I'll go with #3 and practice guided meditation.
I totally empathise with your frustration with the implementation of MT gate blocking, but I also understand it.

I remember having this conversation with some of the Gondor wizards back in the 90s when I first became a wizard. Olorin and Elessar from memory... possibly even Gorboth. Their position was really firm that at this time period the walls of Minas Tirith had never been breached in lore, and that MT was never to become a hunting ground. Originally it was alignment based, then has evolved from there. I think the current system is #3, which is fine... it is essentially a crude guild risk-based assessment. And yes that assessment can change depending on who is in charge of the domain.

The foundations of this code is old. There are more sophisticated ways this could be implemented, but it does require the domain to prioritise this as a piece of work.

Arman.
The problem is this.
Minas Tirith is THE biggest questhub in Genesis.
It has the total amassed quest XP gathered in one place.
And it is locked off to anyone who is evil OR that the rangers just don't like.

So no it is not understandable since there is NO equivalent to that for evil characters.
Something that does not make sense in todays Genesis with an actual QEXP cap

A suggestion, and i know it includes coding and changing stuff.

Make "suspect" guilds (Yes, i'm looking at you warlocks too! And Thieves!) able to enter only with a personal escort. A guard(s) that greatly keep an eye on them, and will slay them if they make a false step(not combat, kill. Well, thats my idea anywas).

With an attained alignment of something good, the patrols don't trust you, but you have earned a chance.

Take it if you like it @Finwe.
