The drawn maps of Genesis
Does anyone know what program has been used to draw the maps of
Genesis? I mean I don't believe someone has done them in paint or so.
Or is it enlarged maps from a client with a legend attached to it that
describes the different colours ?

Ah those. Some unknown player created them many years ago, but I haven't talked to anyone who knows who actually made them. I've always been curious who created them and have wanted to thank them for making life easier for me as a player, especially before the magic map started covering most areas.Darken Rahl wrote: ↑15 Jun 2020 11:41For example this map

I don't know how they were made, but it looks like some sort of automapper in a MUD client and then touched up with Photoshop or some other photo editing software. But that's just speculation on my part.

Made mine with chequered paper and a pencil back in the day.
Alas they got canned at some point, so printed the web ones.

I created them, using AutoRealm. No automapper was involved. The Krynn map was made by Louie, and the Emerald one by Gorboth.Cherek wrote: ↑15 Jun 2020 14:00Ah those. Tapakah! Hello
Oh, so you made them. Cool. So, here's a late THANK YOU. They have been, and continue to be, very useful.

I still have the source (AuRX) files somewhere if anyone wants to edit them.

Yes, I support Cherek's HUGE Thank you Tapakah. It is already 3rd or 4th generation of Gen players who based on them. And I think huge majority of current and former players were using it hundreds of times.
And for sure it would be great if the source of these wonderful maps could be shared and extended.
