Can we please get back to a game where you, like in the real world, have a chance to prevent someone from leaving combat by simply walking away and in a matter of seconds disappear without the threat of being caught up to?

The abilities will remain disabled until they are thoroughly reviewed and we believe they have a place in the game as something other than a way for the huge to gank unprepared much smaller players, which honestly was what they were mainly used for. And some of the abilities meant a more or less certain death if used, which sucked for the victim, but also made some who had these abilities reluctant to even using them, fearing nerfs if they did. Which obviously isn’t good either.

Movement hindering in Genesis requires at the very least a serious review and testing process, or in a perfect world a redesign of the whole system, so it’s more fun and fair for everyone. Unfortunetely there is no time table for either. It’s one of many things on the list of possible game improvements, and other things have been prioritized so far this year. We haven’t forgotten about it, though, and obviously I too wish we had gotten to it by now.
