Recruitment

Post by vitwitch » 06 Oct 2022 23:34

Code: Select all

There has been a persistent hiss in my left ear for a
little while now; at first I thought it was sea water
or old age... turns out that it was none other than:

Takhishis

(Dragon queen,
Nilat the Corrupter
Tamex, the False Metal
Mai-Tat
She of Many Faces
Queen of Many Colors and None
The Dark Queen
Erestem
Tii'Mhut
Lady Chaos
Mwarg
The Dark Warrior
Shadow Sorcerer....)

I guess the first couple of days of hissing were just
Her giving me all Her Names...

After that, She expressed concern about the conduct
of the War of Lance in Krynn; specifically the kinds
of folk that the Knights of Solamnia were recruiting
to fight against her Dragonarmies. She felt that they
were not fit and proper people to be supporters of
the Sword, the Crown and the Rose... (Wow, right?)

Along with Her brother (who shall not be named because
I cannot be bothered listing all His names), we went
through all the recruitment rules and rationalised
them.

Among the changes:
* Vampires, Warlocks and Fire Knives need to
be at least blessed in order to fight for
the Knights, this is consistent with the
requirement on Free Mercenaries;
* Pirates of the Bloodsea can now fight for
the Knights if they are blessed or better
(more like holy Privateers really);
* These same groups are permitted among the
Neidar provided they are at least trustworthy,
can drink three whole barrels of ale in a
sitting, and are of dwarven stature;
* The Dragonarmies will exclude Elemental Clerics
of Calia if they are any nicer than demonic;
(previously there was no restriction)
* The Dragonarmies will not put up with any
Archers of Ansalon in their ranks.

These rules come into force immediately but will not
apply to existing recruits. If, for some reason, you
leave and come back then the new rules will apply.
