I know im not around for the one who knows its best for the te games secrets, but ive been told im a fantasy nerb, so i take that compliment.
today i ve hunted with quantum and Harley and we had fun talking about who is who in hitchikers guide to the galaxy
now i played marvin the depressed robot, while i lead the team... and i had a laugh making quantum trilllian and harley zaphod, and i think they rather had a laugh about it too, i must admit how i love to meet people to know the best fantasy literature in this realms

i dont know how i can show my appreciation to this tiny community we have created
as some know i have a rather hard job in real life, trying to make a better environment for childeren
How amazing it is we have this escape room where we can meet friends who are true to fantasy

so just from the purest of my heart thank you all for being here, wizards and players for keeping it alive.

be well and dont take the game all too serious, with all the changes i mean... after all most of us are here to keep the fantasy alive

Code: Select all

Marvin is not in the game.
Marvin is a depressed ancient robot wizard, presenting himself as:
Marvin the Paranoid Waterproof Android, male robot.
He is a retired, set by Damaris.

Age : 114 days 15 hours 36 minutes 34 seconds.
-- Special info on Marvin:
Marvin is cool, he made cool additions to both the gamedriver and the
mudlib (such as much of the LPC language and interpreter). He has a cool
attitude to wizards who complain about his cool code additions. And last
but not least, he's cool because he's got a liquid-nitrogen internal
cooling system.

Unfortunately it seems that as of late his coolness seem to be that
more commonly associated with rigor mortis. With luck he'll thaw up
enough to visit us again in some distant future.

In case people are wondering just how cool the RL Marvin is, here's his bio on Wikipedia.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lennart_Augustsson

Lennart Augustsson is a Swedish computer scientist. He was previously a lecturer at the Computing Science Department at Chalmers University of Technology. His research field is functional programming and implementations of functional languages.[1]

Augustsson has worked for Carlstedt Research and Technology, Sandburst, Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Bank, Facebook, X Development, Google and is currently employed by Epic Games.[2]

Augustsson is the author of:

The Cayenne programming language.[3]
The HBC Haskell compiler.[4]
Several hardware device drivers for NetBSD.[5]
The front end of the pH compiler (parallel Haskell) from MIT.[6]
The initial version of the Bluespec compiler.[7]
He was also a co-developer, with Thomas Johnsson, of Lazy ML,[8] a functional programming language developed in the early 1980s, prior to Miranda and Haskell. LML is a strongly typed, statically scoped implementation of ML, with lazy evaluation. The key innovation of LML was to demonstrate how to compile a lazy functional language. Until then, lazy languages had been implemented via interpreted graph reduction. LML compiled to G-machine code.[8]

Augustsson was intimately involved in early LPMud development, both in the LPMUD driver and the CD mudlib. His MUD community pseudonym is Marvin.

Augustsson has written three winning entries in the International Obfuscated C Code Contest:

1985: Most obscure program (1985/august.c)
1986: Best complex task done in a complex way (1986/august.c)
1996: Best of Show (1996/august.c)
