I think, personally, that newbies lose their pins too early, people are hitting rising hero in a matter of weeks or even days, myth a scarce few months later, I think there's room for a little more time as a newbie, asking for help coz ain't no way they don't need it

On one hand, you're right about speed. On the other hand, nothing particular has changed in the game itself.
We can try to teach newbies everything else instead of grind mindset

If you hit Rising Hero in weeks on your first char.... either you are not a newbie, or you are spending ungodly amounts of time on this game... either way, you will be prepared for the real game, methinks.

Sounds more like a 'My alts are loosing newbie pin too fast, please lemme keep it longer for teleport home' reason than anything else ?

Actually I'd support losing home at veteran, coz that's when stamina starts to be less of an issue, unless you're carrying too much, it's mostly ntell, there's a lot of knowledge there that's hard to get elsewhere. All the super myths know like, everything, but how often does a tiny actually meet a helpful supermyth, a lot speedwalk between grind spots/meetings with friends, and ntell is the main place for noobs to get help (other than discord)
so... no, Dan, not everyone has scheming alterior motives for everything
EDIT: anterior to alterior (which is still wrong I think but less wrong)
