Does anyone know what this thing is? And how to get my backup sword back from
inside it?

It's a nicely crafted bracelet of sturdy gold links. The clasp is of a delicate
elven design. It's wide enough to easily slide around the blade of a
broadsword.
Hanging from the bracelet you see one golden charm. A polished broadsword.
