So.. I might be a git.. But how does it actually work..

You give up a special, but still seem to be taking on a lot of dmg.. its a wee bit less.. but still.

Lots of special hits, scratches, scrapes, and nicks goes through..

Is it a " just deal with it, AA is fine.."

or

is it a " yeah, it could use a tune-up"

It's not just AA.
Plenty of those special attacks bypass all sorts of defensive abilities.
I agree that it's very frustrating.

Yea its a tad on the downer when you begin to see clean hits like rakes and batters just go through.
