| After the completion of a weekly training session, one of the guards |
| in charge of cleaning and racking the equipment noticed a sword |
| crumble into dust as he placed it into the weapon rack. |

| The storage room was inspected for magic by a white-robed mage, and |
| after much spellcasting and chanting, the entire room was found to be |
| oozing with ancient magic and curses. |

| The catacombs beneath the storage room were investigated as well, and |
| a tomb was discovered leaking dark curses into the catacombs and up |
| into the storage room, gradually corrupting all equipment in the area. |

| The tomb was cleansed, and the curse lifted by the white-robed mage. |
