So I've wondered about this several times,
but I have never gotten a valid answer from someone..

so for example..

Lets say I got sup guru sword skill, and I wield/wear an item that increases my sword skill by
lets say 10ish. Will I then exceed sup guru in sword skill or is that a cap?

I think the cap is at sup guru.
I never noticed any changes, when exceeding that.
So I don't think you gain anything extra.

I heard it was uncapped.
Seen titles based on skills move up anyway.

Guess the simple answer is it can't hurt..

It would be sort of good that the items were not nullified by already being guru.
But then again its questionable when some of the items are rather secretive.

Once a wizard (can't remember who, Lilith, Damaris or a ranger wizard) dropped by Rugogold and I in Faerun, and asked him how he got over superior guru awareness. I heard certain items like the silver circlet were bugged and did not check for maximum (so wearing it after eating five kukos would give you some extra awareness levels). However I am not sure if that is intended for certain items or not (herbs are capped, after all).

Its supposed to be capped at superior guru. Awareness has always been buggy if I remember right, and in Dabaay you have to have over superior guru awareness to see some of the thieves.

Any skill is just a number. 100 corresponds to sup. guru, and the number of a skill is not supposed to exceed it, so in 99.99% of cases a check should occur. However there is no hard cap on it.
