I am curious about this but not sure if we can discuss it without giving away more than we should.

Anyway I always thought RoI - Rangers of Ithlien where the more fighter based Rangers.
And actually this is the only type of ranger I have ever had a fight with.
But I have had quite a few brawls with the sneaky devils over the years, they are quick to anger and not scared of a scrap.
Only way I decided they were RoI was they were using swords.

The RoN - Rangers of the North I thought were the more cleric skilled ones.
But I heard someone else say that RoN where the cooler "combat rangers"...
Never had a fight with one however, they are few in number and keep the heads down.

I also thought there was once a third company but its gone now?

Rangers of Gondor were the spellcaster focused ones :p

RoN may be assasins - in theory, I doubt they have killed anyone in years...
I guess for most people RoI are "the Rangers"

Partly due to the fact the word on the street is that RoI are Hard to join but RoN _Impossible_ to join.
Dunno how accurate that is... But I want more Rangerz to smash!!

Rangers are a secretive lot for many good reasons. I highly doubt they would announce many things publically, especially to a minotaur leaning toward the servants of the East.

They are probably the most secretive guild out there.
In the past I have seen more vampires showing off their titles than rangers..

But just because we are enemies doesn't mean I don't want to see them prosper..
Quite the opposite.

I felt RoN was easier to join than RoI but I feel that either one now is impossible. I do believe I find myself sparring with you Tarax, well at least once, if it was you as a minotaur killing at the Minas Tirith gates.

Few in RoN I see around, dunno about RoI

It is pretty sad that not much are around, was a fun and really great guild. Not going to lie though not seeing Xar around doesn't bother me.

Is there a good reason to reopen these age old threads?
