Greetings all,

We had a nice round number of 30 players on today, and so I decided to grab
a quick look at how things divided by alignment. The results were surprisingly
balanced!

-------------------------------------------------------------
Player 1 damned
Player 2 damned
Player 3 damned
Player 4 damned
Player 5 damned
Player 6 damned
Player 7 damned
Player 8 damned
Player 9 damned
Player 10 damned
Player 11 beastly
Player 12 malevolent
Player 13 malevolent
Player 14 sinister
Player 15 untrustworthy
------------------------------------------------------------
Player 16 neutral
Player 17 neutral
Player 18 nice
Player 19 nice
Player 20 sweet
Player 21 sweet
Player 22 good
Player 23 blessed
Player 24 blessed
Player 25 holy
Player 26 holy
Player 27 holy
Player 28 holy
Player 29 holy
Player 30 holy
------------------------------------------------------------

It certainly doesn't always look this proportionate, but the general trend
lately has been to see more evil players logged on than we had been
experiencing. Before the resurgence of activity in the Angmar and Dragonarmy
guilds, we had been generally seeing about 1/3 or less of the population
represented by evil-aligned players.

Draw your own conclusions!
G.

10 damned / 6 holy ... "equal" :?

I think a main resurgence is that a few of us who stopped playing when Vampires closed have returned....

for better or worse I'll let you draw your own conclusions

But I would not be playing if I didn't have Freya and Nalfein around so often. And Bale and Artagel returning from what has it been almost a year since they left also made things liven up a bit enough to play for me personally.

A list like this doesn't really tell us much, as the game isn't divided by alignment as such, but rather by guilds that in turn require a certain alignment of it's members.

So if we could see the guilds listed, it would probably give us more of a clue on the divides of the game in terms of good and evil. Here we have to count alignment required layman guilds as well ofcourse, so that Valar counts for goodies, Templars and layman AA counts for evil etc.

Even then, we'd still have the grey mass of Mercenaries, Monks, Glads etc, that could be closely allied to either side, without necessarily showing up in the picture, but then looking at their guilds + alignment combined might give a clearer picture.

Cool, go damned.

Would be nice to be able to go further, as per the discussion of like it was before it was capped.
And somehow reward people who are really dedicated to one align.

It is easier to get to damned than holy I guess, but having NEVER been holy dunno for sure.
But both have npcs they can/can't kill due to big big jumps.

The whole alignment thing kinda seemed irrelevant to me when on several different occasions I went from holy to damned back to holy in a day.
