Re: Loans
It is more along the lines of bank loans as something I don't see having a place in a fantasy world like Genesis. To me, it would be along the lines if implementing credit cards, lawyers, and mortgages into the game.

Help Files
I've mentioned this to Gorboth privately, but I really think Genesis would be more newbie friendly if we had more documentation in the game in the way of help files. Helpfiles I'd like to see: A helpfile for every stat: strength, dexterity, constitution, discipline, wisdom, intelligence A helpfile f...

Re: Loans
It is painful enough to watch friends in real life get into debt. I'd rather not watch friends in fantasy life get into debt, too. Yuck!

Re: Time based recovery
Nice link. Looks like lots of folks would rather go back to the old mortal levels? Does anyone feel strongly about defending the current mortal levels? I know that's a bit of a spinoff from the original point of *this* thread, but it is related. For the record, I am also in favor of time-based recov...

Re: Time based recovery
Perhaps the problem lies with the endless stat-growth and not the idea of less harsh death punishment, to increase PvP interaction within the community? I really am not a fan of endless staff growth at all. Heck, I wouldn't even mind if characters could die of old age after a few hundred hours of p...

Re: Magic & spells
I suppose that I don't know that it is never used, (and, well, I know for a fact spellcraft is checked in a quest or two) but at least those skills are used minimally enough that it at the very least isn't obvious.

Re: Magic & spells
I am in favor of anything that creates function for those skills for those not in magic guilds. It also makes the game look *broken* if I spend money training a skill as a new player that only until after I invest the money in it, I realize I have zero use for it. I should get as much function from ...

Re: Surnames
No actual skills. Actually far fewer emotes than most clubs. It would be difficult to assign skills, I think, as it is not really a functional guild in any way. It is just a room at the library where you can claim a surname and hometown in Krynn. I wouldn't mind seeing similar last name registries i...

Re: Reducing Layman/Racial Guild Redundancy
Just dropping the tax would address the issue, I suppose, but it wouldn't add any fun or diversity. I don't remember where I saw/read this, but at some point I vaguely recall a discussion about the possibility of all universal skills (sword, parry, etc.) being trained at adventurer guilds by allocat...
