Meh.
Be proactive.
If you want something done, and as you actually have an inkling about how to maneuver code.
Then why not actually contribute with some parts.

Sitting on the sideline and letting someone else get the workload is just bad form.

Amberlee: No really, for the sake of the game I am not gonna touch anything as delicate as XP, even if someone was foolish enough to let me. Like I said before I could possibly help out with theme/story stuff which is easier code and not as dangerous to mess up. But lets not get ahead of ourselves, nobody has decided to go through with the suggested change yet.

Anyone currently over the champion (or any agreed upon mortal size) cap could have their remaining experience turned into guild experience.

Something like this might be part of a solution. But, the abilities still need to be balanced so new players feel they can join the elite crowd in a reasonable amount time. In my opinion this has always been the root problem with attracting new players.

Amberlee/Althyrian/etc: What makes you think the admin feels theme comes before playability and functionability? Basically all major changes the last... well as long as I can remember, have in my eyes been made to enhance playability and functionability. Yes most changes also have a theme and story to it... but the main cause for the changes has been to improve exactly the things you mentioned.

Feels like complaining just out of habit? :) Or what change exactly did you mean have not been made to enhance playability and functionability?

Guess what... NO ONE visited them ever.

Lovely domains with alot of potential.. Sadly untapped because there was NOTHING THERE worthwhile.

And one of those domains is Khalakhor.

Khalakhor was added a decade ago or more... your statement makes it seem like you mean the current admin has things backwards in this regard. Like I said, I cant think of any changes in the last five years or more that has not been with playability and functionality in mind.

Out of curiosity, which is the other domain?

How growth occurs, the extent to which characters must grow and the size gap between the smallest and largest characters are whats preventing Genesis from attracting and keeping new players. If decisions by wizards on what to work on and decisions by the admin on what fundamental game dynamics to support do not lead to fundamental changes in how growth occurs then the wizards and admin have at best dealt with more superficial problems.

Yes Khalakhor was added over a decade ago.
And was remade under Damaris not really that many years ago.
And still as useless after she took over as it was when it was first made.

As for the others, ill let you think about that one :)

Damaris working on Khalakhor, thats probably ten years ago... time flies... :)

Well I suppose you mean Cadu, but it does have a pretty large number of quests with at least decent rewards.
