Code: Select all
Greetings,
Ever wondered how many rooms there are in Genesis? It seems quite impossible to
explore and visit them all, but that is exactly what we are going to try. And
not just the rooms. We also explore many other items (weapons, armours, food,
herbs, drinks, potions, torches and containers) and beings (persons, monsters
and animals alike). This Exploration Event will not be about speed, but about
variety, quantity and unicity.
How to participate:
- Every room you visit is automagically counted when you enter it.
- To count any being or item from the above categories, simply "notice" it.
- You may enter into a guessing game to predict the total number of rooms.
The following rules apply:
- The hunt will last one month, or as much longer as I think is necessary.
- Every participant receives a reward in experience, which will be distributed
after the event is over. Scoring is based on the number of rooms visited, the
number of items and beings noticed, their uniqueness and variety.
- It doesn't matter if you enter a room or notice an item on the first or the
last day of the event. A late entry participant has all the same chances to
get the same reward.
- Over time, entering new rooms, noticing new beings or items will gradually
yield more experience as those apparently harder to find.
- Due to the nature of the fabric of space, some items will be counted only
once even though they appear dissimilar (e.g. a blue and a green helmet).
- Prizes will be awareded in several categories and the closest guessers.
The command "exploration" is available to see how many rooms you have found so
far, how many items or beings you noticed and to enter into the guessing game.
Using "notice everything" will make you notice all new beings and items around
or on you for a gold coin per use.
Good hunting! Let the Exploration commence.
