Re: Meeting with orc MM in Krynn
hmmm true, i was wearing flaming-red pelt, dragon turtle shell and dark amulet of the storm. Maybe it protects somehow against magic.
Re: Meeting with orc MM in Krynn
I know the Shell and Dark Amulet would give magic res. Not sure the Dark Amulet would come into play in this battle.
Then again, the only resistance item I can think of at this moment that tells me it's working would be the ensorcelled black amulet.
Maybe other items can follow suit?

ps. Being the General of the Blue, Irk should have died. I'll give the MM credit for attacking though. lol

I'm not sure what the pelt protects against but as far as I have noticed the amulet protects against lightning and the shell against acid so I assume that unless the mage used that kind of magic they are just trinkets.
Seems like the imbuements that protects against deathspells/spell resistence just went up in price.

Yeah, noticed alsoGreneth wrote:fact that an Ogre and Neidar were teaming.

Actually I don't have problems that spells were very damaging.
What is disturbing that mage can tank dragon, Irk, Laurel and Black.
Mages MUST be FRAGILE. Damage output must come with price of lack of tanking abilities.
Re: Meeting with orc MM in Krynn
A neidar with high tank and low damage, an ogre that fails crushing and the dps of the dragon.Black wasn't involved (?), and Irk wore armours resembling tissuepaper versus artilleryshells...
Unprepared and not properly dressed for the occation is what happened here, against a fully prepared opponent that was already all about high damage and crappy tank...
Before you yap about the tankability of the mage, I suggest you take five minutes and contemplate before you throw yourself on a fallacious slippery slope..

Might and Glory flaming for changing dawn, ancient power revealed of an iron crown, clear and cold and shining so far and bright, crush the world in one clash of your binding light.

Re: Meeting with orc MM in Krynn
Ogre didn't fail to crush. Ogre didn't manage to execute a single crush before Mr. Constitution wimped. Slight difference in wording, huge difference in facts.
Skirmishes are for Rangers (who can't kill anyone) and other Sauron-unworthy creeps. Knights can have a battle (without anyone dead) and consider it a win, but MM? What does it bother Sauron if any creep runs from combat at barely alive? What has been accomplished for Sauron by this? Except for the obvious fact that MM spells are available here for everyone to see, that is.
Credit for attacking? MM are not fighters - they should never intend to have a fight, but if they enter combat - they should go for the kill. They are the only ones in this game with any usable debuffs and insane DoTs - THE PvP tools in this game. That's why they always pretend to be oh-so-restrictive in their PvP choice.bromen wrote:I'll give the MM credit for attacking though. lol

Re: Meeting with orc MM in Krynn
That's a fair point Laurel. That the battle was joined and no kill was achieved did not go unnoticed by the Nine. There are repercussions for such things.
Re: Meeting with orc MM in Krynn
We had our encounters, I learned from them
Best ones were when The Nine were "concerned how quick I can cleanse out a single BB, so they had to try a double BB".
I can hardly remember any "fight" with full MM's - it was always "run to safe spot and cleanse your ass off". Fair enough - MMs are after all the major bad mofos of this game ... that's what I always considered their PR to be as well. PR that's uphold by a casual execution (not a fight - an execution) approved by The Nine or Him.
Besides I remember Laurel joining BDA and winning with everybody in duells back then. I had a blast. Shortly after DA were severely downgraded. Except for a short moment of euphoria my duells had a much negative impact on the DA.
EDIT: That all does not mean I stopped to consider the Oliphaunt curse (if you still have that) to be a goddamn joke on playability and some of the MM spells to be OP ;p

I wonder if he keeps his promise as Irk's ally - the Knight of Solamnia ...Irk wrote:Code: Select all
With the help of Dark Sorcery, a black-robed hooded male orc tells you: Do not test me, Irk. This is your last time. I will hunt you next time we met and you do not follow me. Death will be your friend.
Go! Go! RP geniuses with double standards!
As Ares kindly replied to Laurel after being congratulated for wizhood "Brothels on every corner". Indeed.
