Considering my today encounter with MM's I think I should apply to the Tower ...
Within 3 shots of a spell half immo con went down 5 levels.
Those 3 shots of the said spell took more or less few seconds to execute.
This spell was fire-based (description at least) and went against my ruby-eyed snake ring and scale plated chainmail.

Well ... anyone who does not apply to MM before the magic-resistances are brought up across the game is a looser I think

and some MM fun:

Code: Select all

An encircling clutch of midnight black crows appears overhead and slowly
flies about.
Your flawless onyx ring makes a low humming noise.
You grin merrily.
A road across a forest in the central eastern parts of Ithilien in Gondor. The
sun is almost at its peak on its way across the sky. It is noon in Ithilien.
You have entered a great roofless ring of trees, open in the middle to the
sombre sky, and the spaces between their immense boles are like the great dark
arches of some ruined hall. In the very centre four ways meet. North the road
leads to Morannon, south it continues its journey towards Harad, west the road
from old Osgiliath comes climbing, and crossing, it passes eastwards into the
shadow of the mountains. There is a huge, sitting stone figure here.

There are four obvious exits: north, east, south and west.
An encircling clutch of midnight black crows.
You pounce on the encircling clutch of midnight black crows like a cat,
knocking him flat on his back!
so the clutch of crows is a single male ... smth :?

Those magical poisonous clouds are more scary. One or two breath ins and soon you are at the mercy of anyone.
You can just run and hide.

Nice to see you have fun.
Might and Glory flaming for changing dawn, ancient power revealed of an iron crown, clear and cold and shining so far and bright, crush the world in one clash of your binding light.

Gû kîbum kelkum-ishi, burzum-ishi. Akha - gûm-ishi ashi gurum!

Not disagreeing with you at the amount of power their spells level but the spell you speak of is not fire-based even though the description is misleading of the damage it gives off. And scale-plated chain mails are more resilient to magic of life as opposed to magic of death.

So the Nine has started bringing out-of-game info into the game and acting on it?

Am I missing something, or exactly where do this encounter need to involve out-of-game info, Avatar?

Exactly. The mage reported the encounter to the Nine. Not sure what you think was reported out of game.

Well, apologies, for reading it all as if the MM acted on the board post. Retract your claws, please.
