Re: Melee combat balance: races and stats
Sharn you can't classify monk/minotaur as an evil character being in god mode because you could be a monk/minotaur and be good as well in the monks.
Secondly, You cannot compare non-recoded guilds to recoded guilds. It is silly.

Re: Melee combat balance: races and stats
I have tested with lots of people (some in real combat, others in spars, by the way when the spar command will be fixed?), and found myself in tight situations only against monks (if shieldbearer slam that can last at most 7 seconds bothers you, imagine a 30 second one), angmarins (they can prevent slam) and necromancers (frightening should still be based on discipline).
Battles against dragonarmies are usually pretty balanced, but it is hard to find foes of around my size.

Yes, I mentioned it, that minotaur monk has the bonus of being neutral.Ilrahil wrote:Sharn you can't classify monk/minotaur as an evil character being in god mode because you could be a monk/minotaur and be good as well in the monks.
But *I* am evil and did not really notice almost any problems with that...
Except one that is. I could not enter VK to pickup my gems from the bank!

Re: Melee combat balance: races and stats
As long as the recoded and non-recoded guilds exist I can do it, because thats the only thing I can do.Ilrahil wrote:Secondly, You cannot compare non-recoded guilds to recoded guilds. It is silly.
I cannot afford time machine to go to the future and compare the recoded with the recoded

Re: Melee combat balance: races and stats
Yes but isn't it an unfair comparison? Because you are comparing recoded guilds to ones who haven't been updated/balanced yet? So there are still going to be imbalances there.
