Re: Level Restrictive Areas/Discipline
And if you were to create a mist/pack of hunting dogs which attacked players who remain immobile for too long? There ARE ways to do it to where it is more beneficial to pay attention then it is to script.
The bigger question would be is that something players would enjoy more. High Risk High Reward or the normal set a script and watch tv.

Well... scripts are easy to loop so you'd go the same path untill infinityGreneth wrote:And if you were to create a mist/pack of hunting dogs which attacked players who remain immobile for too long? There ARE ways to do it to where it is more beneficial to pay attention then it is to script.

Re: Level Restrictive Areas/Discipline
I would like to see an area with enemies that acts a bit how they should, you attack one and they call for help from their friends in the surrounding rooms. You will have to be carefull and scout the rooms first since the enemies moves around and unless you are carefull you might end up fighting 10-15 enemies at the same time.

finally some good exp spots without the need to move!arcon wrote:end up fighting 10-15 enemies at the same time.
Re: Level Restrictive Areas/Discipline
It all depends on how hard they are, 10-15 qualinesty elves can hurt a lot and even be dangerous for someone like you.Laurel wrote:finally some good exp spots without the need to move!arcon wrote:end up fighting 10-15 enemies at the same time.
Re: Level Restrictive Areas/Discipline
I remember a dwarf who tried to take on 50 or so wolves in one room.
He died in about 2 seconds. 3 if you waited for the body to hit the floor.
Good ideas here. Keep them coming.

Re: Level Restrictive Areas/Discipline
I would like to see something in tower of realms that would suggest a good hunting ground for a players level.
for people who are seeking variety but do not wish to get trounced. maybe even allow for requesting a challenge level
Suggest easy(something you can take with little or no gear but is not a waste of time xp wise);
Suggest average(something that wont kill you but you probably shouldn't go into ungeared):
Suggest challenge solo( you should be very well geared and probably have some healing or herbs available):
Suggest challenge team(would evaluate your team's capability and make suggestion)
as far as capping areas for quest reasons you could always use that alchemist amulet(or similar) that you can use to do the sparkle orc fortress quests. or just make it not restrict you if you have appropriate quests. but it would seriously hamper people who are teaming with younger players or who are fighting for nostalgia reasons. or for a specific weapon.
I much prefer just hampering exp/random drops(so people can still get specialty or quest drops) if you had to add counters. also it should be based on combat stats not disc.

Re: Level Restrictive Areas/Discipline
I like the idea of the tower giving suggestions of areas to go. As a mortal, I missed content in Middle Earth purely because I didn't know where to start.
