Halflings of Faerun Racial Guild
Fellow Donut Dwellers,
Don't run for the hills if you see them, but if you're a hobbit, you can now become a Halfling. The new racial guild is located in Faerun. Feel free to check it out and the surrounding village.

Re: Halflings of Faerun Racial Guild
Will one be kicked from the school of high sorcery if one becomes a halfling?
Re: Halflings of Faerun Racial Guild
No. Halflings are not restricted from joining the SoHM. Ineligible races are dwarves, orcs, goblins, kender, minotaurs, hobgoblins, and ogres.Celemir wrote:Will one be kicked from the school of high sorcery if one becomes a halfling?

What is the difference between a hobbit and a halfing?
If something I wrote sounds confusing ... assume you misunderstood it.

If i remember correctly, Forgotten Realm halfings are a bit kender like in most cases but not quite the same, they don't lack the sense of fear.
They do also share some likeness with hobbits with family and such, and quite a few do not adventure at all.
Hope it helps.
Re: Halflings of Faerun Racial Guild
They are pretty much the same. Dungeons and Dragons had the hobbit race in its initial edition, then switched them to halflings in their next edition a few years later. Probably a Tolkien copyright issueKitriana wrote:What is the difference between a hobbit and a halfing?

Re: Halflings of Faerun Racial Guild
What?! Orcs can't join the halflings?
It's a disgrace!

Might and Glory flaming for changing dawn, ancient power revealed of an iron crown, clear and cold and shining so far and bright, crush the world in one clash of your binding light.

Re: Halflings of Faerun Racial Guild
What Arman said. Also, halflings don' have the alignment restriction hobbits have. You can find evil halflings as well as good aligned ones. Although evil ones are pretty rare, they do exist.
