I am happy to announce the launch of the spell enhancer system. These
will impact damage spells, as well as healing, and if you desire
maximal strength, you should seek these items out for your spell
casting.
In addition, the new resistance system is also live. In the past,
many NPCs in the game never had magical resistance set, while they
had armours. This meant that spell casters had a significant
advantage in combat as they could bypass armour. Now, armour will
also provide resistance to spells - both to NPCs, and a fractional
amount to players based on their armours as well.
Because of this armour-bypassing ability, some spells previously
had their power reduced. Over the next week we will be reviewing
these spells to make sure they weren't weakened due to lack of
game-wide resistance.
These are two major changes that impact spellcasting in a big way.
This will align the melee and magic systems, and make it much
easier for us to balance them fairly against each other.
As this has major impact, please be mindful that we will not look
well on players who try to take advantage of the big changes for
easy PVP wins in the short term.
