Point out the enemy
I'm sure there is some simple solution that I'm not noticing, but I'll ask.
When one enters a room and is attacked by it's contents, one attacks one and all attacks one.
Lets say, 4 elves attack Otaril, Otaril is only attack one elf at a time.
Is there a command that makes it easy for me to "roar enemy" and the mud determine which of the elves is under attack by me?
I notice that in my description it says "You are fighting the pointy eared elf" so there must be some easy to pinpoint my direct enemy.
I would like to directly taunt my enemy without having to differentiate between all of the elves in the room.
Any suggestions on an easy way to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Point out the enemy
look at enemy works.. ie enemy is a legitimate target when fighting.
However say to enemy doesn't work, strangely??

Re: Point out the enemy
Ah! that must be my problem, yesterday I was trying to "say to enemy x".... the emotes do work. Thanks T
Re: Point out the enemy
Also, after some initial damage, you can 'health all'. Then you will see each enemy listed separately, and know which particular enemy is taking the damage you are creating while also checking your health at the same time.Tarax the Terrible wrote:look at enemy works.. ie enemy is a legitimate target when fighting.

Re: Point out the enemy
Again with the high tech...
But I use the following colour trigger.. (off the top of my head... think the text is correct tho)
#tr {is fighting you} {#cw blue}
#tr {is also fighting} {#cw blue}
So typing look you can see more easily who is fighting you and who is assisting.
The old mercs had a command to replace look at parse it into X is fighting Y for each fight going on.
Might be kinda cool to have this globally now since they are gone?

Re: Point out the enemy
You can "examine enemy, or "<emote> enemy," but for some reason you can't "say to enemy."

Re: Point out the enemy
Does "health enemies" work? I think you can count enemies too, not sure though, haven't tried lately.
Re: Point out the enemy
Hmm... Definitely worth checking. Although I only ever use 'health all', and when it comes to enemy stuff I just use 'exa enemy' and 'compare stats with enemy'.Rhynox wrote:Does "health enemies" work? I think you can count enemies too, not sure though, haven't tried lately.
I fear no evil for I am fear incarnate.
Re: Point out the enemy
You cannot examine enemies and you only have one because it only counts an enemy as someone you are hitting and they are hitting you.
