I wonder why orcs are on the list. We already have orcs (and they're awesome).

Re: List of layman ideas (Middle Earth)
I think a combined race/ layman orc guild sounds like an amazing idea.
I think the racial offers sword, so perhaps building further on that.
I would think it fun if they had a special based on them biting the enemy, inflicting some sort of poison/wound damage. It could, instead of direct damage, be a heal-block. So healing the target only yield X % of what they otherwise would get.
And then another special based on the sword.
2 specials in a layman is a lot though, so player can make a choice of which, every x hours.

Building on sword you'll just end up with either mercenary or BDA orcs. I like the idea of a poisonous bite, however. I'd much rather see it go towards fatigue or deliberate leg-injuries, subsequently adding more sticky-combat to pvp, alternating to anticoagulative bleed for pve.
However, -I- always pictured a layman orc guild as one of two:
Warg rider: special dependent on the animal.. slash, bite, whatever.
Uruk-hai: Permanently altered combat specific stats to provide caid according to layman restrictions.

Warg raiders would be great but that's pretty much covered by Throtyl Raiders now.
Uruk-hai layman upgrade for orcs with stunning special (like the orcs in Moria and the camps have) is an interesting possibility...

I like how everyone voted for the goodie option xD
tbh I think we need options for evil archers
like, lots evil archers exist in various fictions. and they're cool.
also, bows are pretty darn powerful with their significant damage output
a haradrim layman would open archery up at least a little to evils

Everyone voted the (goodie) option of RoR because it was, I hope, decently detailed in description and made a thematical senseqwertheangmarim wrote: ↑31 May 2022 03:29I like how everyone voted for the goodie option xD

Anyway, I would love to hear details on an evil-archer guild, within ME or otherwise. Feel free to add to the ideas, altough I am not sure new laymans are currently a priority in ME.

Just go archer, train your skills, then go evil...qwertheangmarim wrote: ↑31 May 2022 03:29I like how everyone voted for the goodie option xD

You don't get gkicked, just blocked from guildhall. And cool titles!
Stabby stabby stab stab.
Re: List of layman ideas (Middle Earth)
Can you join archers as an elf, train your skills and then change into orc and remain an archer?
