Changing armours during combat.

Post by Alorrana » 08 Jun 2024 11:10

So... should we be able to do this or should there be some restriction?

I mean.. weepty doo fighting a knight... my platemail breaks, i casually
take a new one from my backplack, dropping the old one and then i wear
the new one.. Oh wait ! I would rather wear my AMC.(still during combat)
removes my platemail, puts it in the pack, pulls out chainmail from pack
wears the chainmail..

and i win... feeling very well...

Just seems...off

Code: Select all

The travel-stained canvas backpack (open) is large and made of heavy canvas. It looks large enough to hold many supplies. You may <fillpack> to put items in it except money and unused containers. <emptypack> will let you empty your backpack.
The travel-stained canvas backpack (open) is protected from being sold. Use <unkeep backpack> to sell it.
It is open.

You study the travel-stained canvas backpack (open) carefully.
It is open.

You determine that the weight is 160 kilograms and you guess its volume is about 61 liters. You estimate its worth to 3 gold coins. It rejects being sold as it is keep protected.
The travel-stained canvas backpack (open) appears to be very full.
The travel-stained canvas backpack (open) is made to be worn on your back.
Imagine yourself carrying 160 kilos of body armours on your back? Shall we abolish looting all together too? I mean, who doesn't carry 12 upper body armours and one full body platemail in their backpack?
How do they even all fit in there?

Also, just yesterday I ran from Ithilien through Cair Andros, past the gates of Edoras, threw a quick wave to Isengard and before I could even blink I was on a ship leaving Grey Havens with seconds to spare. All of that in less than five seconds flat.

Ah, yes - the joys of changing the hearts of others. In order to gain entry into the dreaded Minas Morgul to help a wicked Warden, a warrior of repute, heart of gold and will of steel, had but to mass-murder every woman and child he could track down, repeatedly, to taint himself appropriately. News spread quickly of his ill deeds, the guards let him in and in the end, the Warden was pleased. Within a couple hours of mass murdering Haradrim children and Dunlending scouts as penance, the world was now righted, his heart pure as ever and the repeatedly murdered women and babies re-appeared, as if by magic, fully unaware of the horrors that befell them earlier that day.

Sorry for the theatrics, but bro.. It's a game! A game you've played on and off for decades!
You gonna mess it up by bringing reality into it? Now?
