Love the idea! Maybe each faction that owns a plain could have a watchman and if someone from the faction pays the watchman (in steel coins) that watchman will send warnings to all supporters in Krynn/Ansalon when a plain is attacked.Arman wrote: ↑20 Dec 2024 14:27Warnings are reasonable ideas. Doesn't have to be restricted to aligned guilds.. could be all participants.
Thing is i'd probably require a cost associated with equipping a warfare area with warning systems... maybe like 100 steel coins for warning alarms for a battlefield. Not sure. And i'd probably restrict the warning to only come to players within that faction who are in the Krynn or Ansalon domain...

Yeah I feel there needs to be more sinks for steel coins...
Something to consider when enhancing the warfare system... hopefully before next Xmas!

Re: Update the Krynn War System: New Win Criteria
Perhaps factions could hire mercenaries, using steel coins, to help guard their conquered plains? Not more NPCs per room to make it more difficult but more rooms filled with NPCs to make it take longer to conquer and give more time for NPCs to respawn. Elite plains would need stronger NPC mercenaries so that would cost more than the non-elite plains.

Nice try hunter, no one's buying you more npcs to grind.
Re: Update the Krynn War System: New Win Criteria
Hi,
Maybe there could be some above average quality arrows one could purchase with steel coins. Above average arrows in good quantity would (on par with tarred arrows would be very much sought after) be a great addition for any archers.

Hi,
Wanted to post that seeing the wartime is a huge upgrade. I love that time each plain is held is a much better representation of who is winning the war. BDA is only ahead in conquers by a small handful but they have held the territory so much longer than anyone else. I also see that the Neidar have have gotten more involved. Love the increased interest and competition.

Glad you find the extra metrics useful/interesting!
I just want to flag that war time isn't incorporated in to war success yet. Allowing visibility of it allows us to make a decision on how we want it to be incorporated into the future evolution of war victory.
So don't be surprised that it won't influence war outcomes in the short term.

Hi!
Even knowing the roll-out for new warplains stuff will be gradual and perhaps not in the immediate future (and not all ideas we suggest will are good ideas or will be acceptable) I am still very excited. I love the warplains as end-game content (huge fan of my title) and can't wait for them to be even better.
A suggestion from someone I was teamed with earlier.
Add more armours with oval sockets. Oval war-gems are unique in the game in granting magic type skill bonuses (enchantment, abjuration, etc) and that makes them extremely attractive for warplainers. With the use of enhancers for direct use spells the plus skill gems and imbues are very limited in their utility but for maintained spells (and from what was suggesting in Discord for magic resistance), we are assuming, that plus to skills is king. Usable armours that have oval gem sockets would be appreciated. The armours with oval sockets (buckler 2, tunic 3, breastplate 2, gloves 1, leggings 1) simply aren't viable in their current form outside of making triggers that armour-swap when needing the skill. Some people are okay with super fast armour-swapping (it isn't against the rules) for a min-max purpose but most people think that putting on and removing sets of armour in milliseconds during combat to get the buffs is impractical and just feels wrong.
Love the new stuff and looking forward to more new stuff!!!!
