Re: Professional Warriors and Mercy
If I understand what you are saying, Bromen, then the problem is that although 4 heroes might be balanced to take down one small myth they shouldn't be able to take down an uber myths just because they are a "Myth". I agree. The mechanism that does this could be be based on experience however. The more cumulative experience the group has the more damage/defensive bonus each individual would get in a PvP fight. The big myth would then require a larger team average to take them out.
Re: Professional Warriors and Mercy
One could say that if the sum of experience of the individuals in the group is equal to the experience of the myth, it would be a fair battle; the difference would be depending on whether the myth misses his single special attack or the amount of misses the smaller team has.
It would be fair because the myth still has the more chances of killing an opponent before they take you down, however miss a few specials and you could be in problems. Also, while three or four heroes may have the amount of experience a small myth has, they wouldn't match the experience an unber myth has.

Exactly Rhynox. I like the fact the Myth still has a good chance to come out with a win. I also like the idea that the smaller the characters the more you need to take out a myth. I wonder how many greenhorns you'd need...

Re: Professional Warriors and Mercy
The real question here is, wether should Genesis be the game of numbers or quality. You see, for example Warhammer Fantasy Battle (I've got like 18+ years of experience with tabletop games), despite all the balancing (ie: better units cost more to field, thus you have less of them, thus they're balanced) still follows the flawed formula of numbers... To use it as an example, since it is partially based on the random factor (ie: dice), the numbers are always better than the quality. It's a simple thing, the more dice you use, the better your chances of success (it really doesn't matter that you need better rolls with more dice than fewer rolls, but more likely to succeed - let someone math-educated explain it to you, in such scenario numbers always win vs quality). Right now I'm a bit drunk and forgot what I was about to convey, let me edit this post tomorrow...Greywolf wrote:Exactly Rhynox.
