Time to Gear Up for the Push!

Genesis Community,

The time is long overdue for us to once again begin an earnest push to
rally the playerbase. The goals:

1. Build energy and enthusiasm for the game.
2. Build community connection between our players.
3. Share information and collaborate with players about game development
and important concepts for the future.
4. Enlist the aid of each and every community memeber to be part of
the "big push" that has been so long discussed for promoting the
game.

To get these things started, I am actually going to encourage everyone to
consider creating an account on the official Forum to learn more about
what is going on. Why the Forum rather than in-game discussions on
the Sparkle Board? Well, we need to be realistic:

- The Forum is something it is easy to check while doing other
things - part of the modern culture.
- The in-game board system is about 10 years out from being seriously
used by players to discuss topics any more.
- The forum gets used - frequently.
- Many people who no longer log their characters in to play
Genesis are active regulars on the forum.

I have created a new section on the Forum called Keeper's Korner in which
I will personally be doing all sorts of work to get us where we want to
go. Can't stand forums and the sort of behavior and culture that tends
to dominate there? No problem ... I am going to be governing the Keeper's
Korner with an absolutely fanatical "delete" button. There will be no
negative energy allowed there - only constructive, helpful, and posts
that are clearly meant to help rather than make things worse. People who
don't want to see the other stuff can just stick to Keeper's Korner and
ignore the rest.

Naturally, the in-game Common Board and other such things will continue
to be the main method for announcing changes/events/notifications that are
important to the game itself - but most of this push is going to be
happening on the Forum. If you aren't already there - check it out!
