<Newbie>: I am exhausted... where can I buy food? ntell: Well... go south from the crossroads outside Sparkle... then some west, climb a cliff... continue heading north or something until you see a spire, climb it. Now you see an monastery, enter it, and find a place that sells food. <Newbie>: Crossroads you say....?
Sorry, couldnt help mocking you a bit Alexi and got carried away.Code: Select all
<Newbie>: I found a clifff, but I cant climb it. ntell: Ah right, you will need to improve your climbing skill first of course. <Newbie>: I dont have any money. And I am still exhausted. ntell: Uhm... wait, I will go somewhere and buy food to you. Dont move. Ill also throw 100 plats on you, and then let you join us for some trollkilling so youll be veteran in notime. Okay? <Newbie>: Thats sounds great, then I dont need to do anything and can just watch text spam!
But I think even many experienced players dont know how to get to the monastery, I barely dont for once.
Code: Select all
ntell: Better yet, go switch to ogres, let me help you make some triggers specifically to me in CMUD (I'll pay for the subscription) be logged on at X and X time of the days and I'll just drag you around until you grow up big enough to be useful to me. Then I'll have my own personal DPSer
<Newbie> Now that sounds even better!
ntell: No problem, lets get busy cause your wasting my time. Back in my day you actually had to figure your stuff out!
Re: re: Alexi
Why not just eat eyeballs, nails, intestines, ears, scalps etc of whatever foes you kill? For the gourmets, the sewer rats offer some really delicious kidneys.
And if you're looking for food with a twist, the Sparkle Museum offers an endless supply of really tasty glue, for free. Just make sure to eat them all at once, before they take effect, preventing you to eat more (or drink, or speak)

because roleplay has a saying here, My mino character would peer alot if an elf ran around eating body parts
hehe

I’m not a complete idiot. Some pieces are missing.

Come on! A few juicy eyeballs... Try'em and you'll be hooked forever.
And not even elves could say no to a tender, fresh hobbit heart, still beating, can you?
Give it to us raw, and wriggling!

Your sensitive mind notices a wrongness in the fabric of space.
And while I'm at it:
The bank in Green Oaks says it can change currencies (21% transaction fee), but keeps complaining on bad syntax, even when copying examples written on the plaque.
The general shop west of the Green Oaks bank has a strongroom too, connected to the bank (26% transaction fee, according to the plaque). Here it works, but
100s turned into 952c (fee=248c), which equals 20.7% transaction fee, not 26%.
You're calculating 248/952=0.26. You're supposed to calculate 248/1200=0.207
The one in Dwarfheim can change currencies (20% transaction fee).
100s turned into 1000c (which equals 16.7% transaction fee, not 20%).
Finally, once the Sparkle bank works, please add a plaque there, same as for the other banks, showing that the bank can exchange coins for you, and what syntax to use.

Booger: I always find things to be fixed much quicker when using the "bug" command in the room where the problem is.
Maybe you already did, but if not, do it!

Re: re: Alexi
Thanks, Cherek. A good point.
I did report it a while ago. Should've mentioned that in my note here.
Since it still doesn't work, it's probably lower prio than other things (imbuements, eg). Just thought I'd bring it up here too, since this thread is about the Sparkle bank being upgraded to handle exchanges.

I've bug-reported this bank some time ago too. It hasn't been fixed yet?
I fear no evil for I am fear incarnate.
