Re: Imbuements Imminent!
I don't know if the goodie team experienced what we did at all but the amount of lag was insane. Lag to the point I was at times a full 7-10 seconds behind what was going on.
Re: Imbuements Imminent!
At times, I think there were 20 players + about 15 npcs in a given room. 35 things in a room fighting one another might have choked things at the peak of chaos.
Fun stuff! I had a blast. Hope others did, too.

Re: Imbuements Imminent!
oh I had fun. Did you run any statistics on kills and such? Once again I can't say what the goodies were thinking but my team was definitely hoping to see kills compared between teams to see which one got the most. *smiles hopefully*
Re: Imbuements Imminent!
I don't have any such stats, sorry.
Maybe you can go through someone's logs and count'em up? (long task!)

Between 20 people, 3 dragons and some shouting goblins the amount of spam was unbearable. The goblin groups were dropping fast and the only real challenge was the last wave (I believe Wolverine died there) but it rised people's appetites and they got disappointed nothing more was coming, especially for some of them who joined right before the last wave or right after it and were hoping to get into some action too.
I really don't know what to think about it...
Pros:
+ a lot of people gathered
Cons:
- lots and lots of spam (there's enough spam coming from players alone, perhaps leave the battlecry, shout and other emotes out of npcs the next time around?)
- I guess there was just too many people and 90% of the waves were just not challenging enough
- after the event was finished everyone just left home with their insignificant progress and that was it
Perhaps others enjoyed it more, but for me the spam especially has killed it. I need to monitor people's health during combat, see who's getting the brunt of the attack etc. just so I can administer my heals where needed. Not possible during such events.
Try going without 2 ScoP's not healing you next time, and perhaps it will be more challenging?

Are you sure thats what you ment?Lindros wrote:Try going without 2 ScoP's not healing you next time, and perhaps it will be more challenging?
2 ScoP's "not" healing? That doesn't make things more safe.

He mentioned that some of us would die in such case.Creed wrote:Are you sure thats what you ment?Lindros wrote:Try going without 2 ScoP's not healing you next time, and perhaps it will be more challenging?

@ Lindros: I didn't have problem healing myself. And it was fairly safe to do too since every time I got some real damage I got thrown out of the room.
@ Gorboth: It makes the game lag if 35 things are fighting in the same room? And you seek to increase the population?
I guess you need to increase performance before you increase a number of people fighting.
I fear no evil for I am fear incarnate.
Re: Imbuements Imminent!
Rhaegar: You rather we dont increase population to not have lag?
Even back when there were over 100 players around, fights with 34 "things" in a room were not common. If it ever happened... not like its gonna happen everyday even with more people. People will be more spread out for the most part.
Not sure what kind of computer Genesis runs on though, maybe it does need an upgrade, but then someone needs to pay for it too.

with your skills (I guess unmaxed), stats and experience we can safely assume that without your heals there'd be no noticeable differenceRhaegar wrote:I need to monitor people's health during combat, see who's getting the brunt of the attack etc. just so I can administer my heals where needed.
