Alorrana, thanks. Now I understand why this is happening: you (the Angmar guild) haven't understood the motives of this pseudo-army.Alorrana wrote:Not true rhynox... If the dagarim hasnt statet so clearly that they where enemies of the east, do you really thing AA would go for them.??
I don't have the first message from Beregond founding the army, but it went something like "This is done in an attempt to bring roleplaying back to Middle Earth", which he found lacking. He could have chosen any other theme to build a pseudo-guild. He could have said they were all dragon lovers and would ensure dragons to live happily, or that they all came from a small city in Kabal that was raided by drows, and so they are now sworn enemies of drows, or that they were a group that found the corruption of the self via alcohol and drugs unbearable and would try to prevent people from drinking alcohol and smoking (making themselves enemies of the neidars), or that they believers of the Seekers, a fake religion in Haven, and would try to convince everyone that they were the real and that the old gods were already gone for good (making themselves enemies of the Knights and the Priests).
This is different from "We are the justice-seekers, we will slay every single evil aligned being in Genesis until there are only characters above neutral." They created this army to turn Middle Earth into a theater where they could represent discussions with the evil side, occasional fighting, alliances, dangerous expeditions, etc. I remember him mentioning that they wanted Middle Earth to be like Krynn, because in Krynn you have all that: occasional fighting, dangerous travels to Sanction or Vingaard Keep, tactically conquering lands, etc.
The mages understood this. I talked with some and they were pretty happy with it, since they found rangers to be both less active and less "talkative". They just didn't exterminate everyone who joined (as the vampires and mages did with the Spirit Circle applicants, for example) because the pseudo-guild wasn't looking for their destruction, but for a way to have a more adult relationship.Alorrana wrote:and imagine.. they havnt even suffered the wrath of east fully yet.. what happens then when nazguls roast em all.. ?? close minas morgul ? shut down MM??
The angmarims didn't. They hear "you are my enemy" and immediately associate that to extermination. That is the problem (which doesn't really surprise me, if this pseudo-army were made of 50 or 60 uber myths the size of Xar they would have, but since the average is likely hero or lower, they chose not to). This is why I interpret Cherek post as an ultimatum: if you want to roleplay, roleplay that you are a carpenter in a very small city, not that you are a member of an army.
If this were this way, all black or white, Rhynox couldn't have his dark side. It is a pity players don't understand that "enemy" doesn't imply PvP.
Give me the list of characters and I will try to tell you why we killed each. When the ogres opened we didn't slay each of them because they were natural enemies of neidars, instead we waited to see what they did (and surprise, they attacked us first). Same with the Dragonarmies, and even the new Angmarims when they opened. We are extremely peaceful, and only attack because we are attacked. Unfortunately, just like it happens with your guild, the big ones won't die, only the small ones. Mega, Manglor and many other small neidars died because big players like Fade, Goul and others couldn't kill big players like Irk, Logg and Rhynox.Alorrana wrote:And dont get short with me stuntie.. Neidars has wacked off alot of small evil players too.. what happens then? just wondering..
