As long as I can remember, wearing/wielding gear from Minas Morgul
meant a response from the Society. At the risk of being completely
unambiguous, if the Society or those allied with the Society see someone
with gear from the Dark Lord's minions, you should expect a response.

It has been this way since the very beginning and remains as such to this day.

And it has always been based on RP - not just some desire to kill a player.

I do believe that FBB in question was given as a gift to the Vampires to use after it had been forcible taken by a knight for using it. Vampires returned it to the mages and they in turn for the aid allowed the guild to use it till it did not last any longer.
