Messengers

Post by Kitriana » 29 Jan 2015 15:53

I'm looking for a player who has a second in the newbie area.
I thought it might be a nice idea to transport over some messengers that can be left in the area for them to use.
They continue to use the Ntell Line as a chat.
Figured this would give them an alternative.

(Or perhaps the wizzies could give them the ability to hire messengers in newbie land)

Please PM me privately to help arrange.

Aye, there would be alot of merit to making the accustomed to messengers, just remember not to put those messengers where you have to have an intro to send them off to people... might be alittle one-sided

I have ones where that isn't required. I just need someone in newbie land to accept them and put them by the board there with a note.

I wanted to have in the note.. something about sending a letter in the post if they run out. So I could send more as well if that happens.

Tbh we should have a shop for messengers in there, and not the kind that runs out after... 3-4 messages, more consistent ones that can be sent back and forth as they ask things, ofc bound only to newbie land

I agree Draugor. I'm just not a wizard and can't code it.
So I'm trying to fill a need in the meantime. :)

Some wizard out there want to make this happen?

I do think there should be no messengers in the newbie area.
Too much stuff may be overhelming. There is too much text for them already.
Better to let them chat and talk about game related stuff on the newbie line.

Well I kinda of agree with Syrk. There is a post office in the newbie area. I am sure a newbie helper would have time to visit a post office too should they want to further contact a newbie. I have monitored the newbies and like Syrk says, they have enough things to learn. We're considering simplifying things in the tutorial area, and while I get the idea of adding messenger, I think we should try to keep things as simple as possible.
