RESULTS FOR THE CHRISTMAS HAM EVENT 2015

A total of 45 participants, 38 in the main event, and 7 in the
junior event competed in this year's Christmas Ham event. A
nice increase from the last event in 2013 which had 30
participants.
1.674 hams were found by the 22 ham-hunting competitors, while
the 23 chip-hunters together found 1.717 stacks of chips.
In the Main Event Morrison soared to a big lead right away
and he looked like a safe bet to win. However, Starla put in
a great effort at the end, and had the event been just a few
hours longer she would most likely have won. And had Fade started
a few days earlier than he did, he may have won instead, as he
very quickly gained ground on the leaders once he started hunting.
Morrison held on though, and won just before Starla, with
Fade on a very clear third place.
In the Junior Event Ghorphys took charge from the start and
never let go. Ori and Montagu were left battling for second
place, but neither was in danger of falling from the top 3 spots.
as the distance to 4th place Amastacia ended up being quite big
in the end.
All in all, the event was a big success with a 50% increase
in participants! Only 7 in the junior category was a slight
disappointment though, and the AoE team will try to figure out
a better way to attract more of the young ones to the next event.
It may simply be that they struggle enough trying to figure out
the world itself, and does not have time to bother about events,
but perhaps we can do more to make them aware of ongoing events
as well. Feel free to send suggestions on this, and of course any

MAIN AND JUNIOR EVENT REWARDS

Rewards based on rank and score:
All top 10 players in the main event, and all 7 participating
players in the junior event receives Quest and General Experience
based on their position in the event, and the points scored.
The experience rewards in the big player category will be somewhat
larger than in the small player category due to the much larger
number of participants, making it harder to finish in the top.
The top 3 players in each category recieves a red and white
striped ring with magical properties. The ring is personal and
will last for 30 days, starting when you collect your reward in
the AoE office. And no Morrison, sorry but it's not the ring
you hoped for, but it might still serve you well, even if it's
not "the one".
The top 3 in each category also receives a special title to
last for a year.

Fade - Illustrious Hammie of Genesis.
Ghorphys - Talented Hammie of Genesis.
Montagu - Promising Hammie of Genesis.

Rewards for finding all 6 arch pigs:
The following players found all arch pigs and will receive one
glittering imbue of their choice:
Morrison, Fluffy, Irk, Fade.
ALL players mentioned above have rewards to claim at the AoE
office, located one down from the main floor in the Tower of
Realms. Simply go there and type <claim rewards> to get your
rewards. If you don't, you'll miss out on your reward(s), and
that's no fun. This goes for all rewards except imbuement
stones. Those are simply too valuable to be stored at the AoE
office, and will be delivered by the much safer AoE delivery
system instead. In other words, by me.
THE INOFFICIAL HAM DESTRUCTION EVENT REWARDS

Due to previously unknown technical difficulties not all ham
explosions were logged until several days into the event.
Something we did eventually notice, and fixed, but even when
logging worked, almost no ham explosions took place, except a
few caused by Namara. Based on the logs from the last 1.5 days,
and some asking around, we believe that Namara is the only one
who at least tried to cause some mayham.
Although, since we cannot be completely certain of who really
should have won if everything had worked correctly from the
start, we feel we cannot proclaim a winner in this side-event.
As compensation, Namara will recieve one ordinary imbuement
stone of her choice.
We do apologize for this, and should someone feel they also
deserve a compensation for causing some mayham, please
<mail aoe>. We will of course look into it, so just mailing
us saying you want an imbuement stone wont work if it's
not an honest request!
Note that the technical problems only affected this
particular side-event and not the main and junior events.
