Anyone care to shed some light as to why they where shut down?

I tried them on... lets call through... alternate means a bunch of years back, I remember the story and the guild beeing a very well made thing, fun emotes, good story and nice abilities?

I'd wanna ask if they could be re-instated should a wizard feel like looking at them?

I remember that race guild from eons ago.
Was a really fun flavour.
Should be brought back tbh

And were protectors of the light or something.
I can't remember exactly just now as it's like eons ago.
